Our starting point

Golf is where the company started

Golf apparel requires attention to fit during movement and comfort over extended wear. That product focus carries into other sports and everyday clothing.

Our founders’ experience spans product development, manufacturing and delivery. It informs how we assess a garment and the work required to produce it.

How experience shapes the decisions

Fabric and construction choices affect the garment, its cost and the production plan. Senior product and commercial judgment helps us assess those consequences with the customer.

01 / Product judgment

The garment in hand

A sample makes design decisions tangible. Fit, fabric handle and construction can be assessed together, giving the customer a clearer basis for deciding what needs to change.

02 / Commercial judgment

The cost of each choice

A different fabric or construction may help meet a target cost while changing the product. We evaluate those implications and present alternatives for the customer’s decision.

03 / Customer accountability

A direct working relationship

The customer contracts with Golf Studio. Our team coordinates the production and service providers involved and brings forward questions requiring the customer’s decision.

New York / Overseas development

The people behind the product work

Internal designers work with overseas development and pattern support, while fittings can involve both our New York and overseas teams. Design and fit decisions are considered alongside the practical requirements of making the garment.

Long-standing overseas production relationships inform our understanding of factory specializations and the options available for a program.
